Iran, Spain Mull over Enhancing Sports Relations

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran and Spain are studying ways to enhance sports cooperation between the two countries.

The issue was raised at a meeting between Iran's Ambassador to Madrid Davoud Salehi and Spain's Secretary of State for Sport Jaime Lissavetzky.

At the meeting, the Iranian envoy stressed that the two sides' stable and friendly ties and exchange of sports delegation would help boost Iran-Spain sports cooperation.

For his part, Lissavetzky voiced satisfaction in the two countries' sports cooperation, and expressed the hope that Tehran and Madrid would ink an agreement on sports cooperation in a near future.
