Iranian Boxers Overcome Uzbek Rivals in Friendly Match

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran's national adult boxing team defeated their Uzbek rivals 4-3 in a rough contest here in Tehran on Monday.

During the friendly match at Tehran's Shahid Shiroudi Gym, Mehdi Taluti (64 kg), Mehdi Sattarpour (75 kg), Ehsan Rouzbehani (85 kg), and Jassem Delavari (heavy weight) won over Uzbek boxers.

The Iranian team however failed to win over the Uzbeks in the 48 kg, 51 kg and 60 kg categories.

The Iranian boxer Hassan Karkardi (81 kg) and his Uzbek ring mate also ended in a 5-5 draw.

Iranian national team is slated to have more glove competitions with Uzbeks on Wednesday.
