Iran Ranks 1st in Asian Powerlifting Championship

TEHRAN (FNA)- Asian Powerlifting Championship that was held in youth and adult groups in India's Darjestan Province ended Wednesday night with Iran's championship.

In addition to ranking 1st in youth group, the Iranian powerlifters gained 4 gold, two silver and there bronze medals in adults group, thus defending their last year's top rank in the category.

The proud Iranian athletes are scheduled to arrive in Iran at 8 pm, Friday evening in Imam Khomeini (P) International Airport, the Islamic republic news agency reported.
