Iran's Athletes, Referees Catch Eyes in Asia Body Building Championship

TEHRAN (FNA)- An Iranian referee was selected as the top referee of the 43rd Asian body building championship in Pattaya, Thailand this week, where the country's national squad also won the title.



Omid Jebeli was selected as the top referee of the championship from among 25 referees from across Asia. Daryoush Zare and Mohammad Abdollahi were other Iranian referees who judged the competitions.

Meantime, Iran's national bodybuilding team became the champion in the 43rd round of men Asian Bodybuilding and Fitness Championship with 171 points. 31 Asian countries had taken part in the competition.

The UAE with 79 points and Thailand with 61 points respectively finished second and third.

Iran's team comprising 21 athletes took part in bodybuilding and body classic sections wining 6 gold, 6 silver and 6 bronze medals.
