"Central banks of countries have assets fully different and separate from those of governments. The CBI is no exception. Since central banks are not engaged in commercial activities, so their activities should not be threatened," said Qazavi when asked by the Islamic republic news agency about rumors that the CBI might be sanctioned by the US Central Bank and Treasury Department.
He said that since the CBI is not engaged in transactions, there will be no reason to threaten it.
