Iran Condemns Assassination of Consulate Staff in Pakistan

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mihman-Parast on Thursday condemned assassination of local staff of the country's consulate in the northwestern Pakistani province of Peshawar.

Mihman-Parast strongly condemned this terrorist and inhuman action.

He underlined the need to identify and put on trial the agents involved in the assassination of Seyed Abul Hasan Jaffry who was shot dead by several unidentified assailants this morning, the Islamic republic news agency reported.

Mihman-Parast called for better protection of diplomats and diplomatic centers on the basis of international conventions so that such terrorist acts would not happen any more.
