President Ahmadinejad's Advisor Mohammad Eshaq Madani made the remarks while commenting on a two-day meeting in Dushanbe, the capital city of Tajikistan, to commemorate a Prominent Muslim Tajik scholar, attended by over 500 Muslim scholars and elites from 50 Islamic states.
Madani underlined the importance of such meetings for the Muslim community, Tajikistan in Particular.
"…inviting delegations from 50 world countries to the meeting is an indication of firm resolve and good attention to the issue of proximity among (Islamic) schools of thoughts by high-ranking officials of this friendly county (Tajikistan), which is also among Iran's partners," Madani told FNA in Dushanbe.
He further viewed the issues under discussion at the meeting as "good and effective" for building and boosting the ground for strengthening trust and unity among Muslims.
Madani noted the measures adopted by the Islamic Republic of Iran for the establishment of peace and security in the region, and added, "The Islamic Iran has always been seeking interests and welfare for the Islamic countries, Muslim nations of the region in particular."
