Iran: Merkel's Remarks Come under Zionists Influence

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran announced on Thursday that German Chancellor's remarks on Iran's nuclear issue came under influence of Zionist lobbies and against Germany's national interests.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast reiterated that Angela Merkel's "baseless accusations" at the US Congress came as Iran is a signatory of the Non-Proliferation Treaty and the IAEA has reiterated several times that Iran's nuclear issue is peaceful.

Merkel has granted the Zionist regime 'Dolphin' submarines capable of carrying nuclear warheads while she accuses Iran with baseless remarks and no evidence, he was quoted by the Iranian students news agency as saying.

"Zero tolerance needs to be shown when there is a risk of weapons of mass destruction falling, for example, into the hands of Iran and threatening our security," Merkel said Tuesday and added, "Iran needs to be aware of this, Iran knows our offer but Iran also knows where we draw a line."
