TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran will open art galleries in Dubai and London in the near future, the director of the Visual Office of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mahmud Shaluii said.
The Visual Office of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance will open the first Iran art gallery in Dubai in next month, he told the Islamic republic news agency on Tuesday.
Following several orders by foreign tourists in Dubai, the gallery plans to establish its activities permanently in near future. Artwork created by Iranian artists will go on display at the gallery and some of them will offered for sale at the venue, he mentioned.
The office will also inaugurate an art gallery in the spring of 2009 for six months in London that will focus on paintings and graphic artwork by Iranian artists, he mentioned.
A book fair showcasing publications on art exhibits was held over the past 30 years in Iran will go on display concurrently with the London Book Fair from April 20 to 22.
