TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, who is currently in Manama for a regional security conference, conferred with his Bahraini counterpart Khalid bin Ahmad Al Khalifa on the latest developments in the region.
During the meeting held in the Bahraini capital today, the Iranian and Bahraini foreign ministers called for deepening cooperation in various fields.
They also called for more interaction between the regional states and said that regional cooperation would serve peace and tranquility.
The two foreign ministers stressed the need to promote relations among the nations in the region.
Meanwhile, visiting Iran's foreign minister said deepening ties between Tehran and Manama would benefit regional states.
Sheikh al-Khalifa expressed pleasure with Iran-Bahrain ties and reiterated that the two countries should foster bilateral talks on mutual ties.
Mottaki is on a visit to Manama to attend a conference on regional security.
