Speaker Condemns Recent Bombings in Iraq

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani, in separate messages to Iraqi officials on Wednesday, condemned the recent terrorist attacks in the war-torn country.

In his messages to Iraqi President Jalal Talabani, Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and Iraqi Parliament Speaker Ayad al-Samarraie, Larijani condemned Tuesday's terrorist attacks which left hundreds of people killed and wounded.

Larijani also underlined the necessity for restoring calm and political stability in Iraq, and expressed the hope that the terrorist crimes would leave no impact on the Iraqi people's resolve to move towards freedom and justice.

He noted that the attacks were carried out by the enemies of democracy and aliens' agents and mercenaries.

The messages of the Iranian parliament speaker came a day after a series of bombings targeted government buildings in Baghdad, killing at least 127 people and wounding more than 500.
