Indian Festival to Screen Iranian Movies

TEHRAN (FNA)- Five Iranian films are scheduled to go on display at the 14th International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) in India due to be held from December 11 to 18.

Ramtin Lavafipour's 'Be Calm and Count to Seven', 'Twenty' directed by Abdul Reza Kahani, Abbas Kiarostami's 'Shirin', and 'Whisper With the Wind' directed by Shahram Alidi are among the Iranian films to go on screen at the festival.

Iranian filmmaker Asqar Farhadi's Oscar-nominated 'About Elly' will take part in the competition section.

Last month, Asqar Farhadi's two-hour drama won two awards at the third annual Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA).

About Elly highlights the relations between Iranian men and women and presents a dramatic depiction of love.

The film was also awarded the Silver Bear during the 59th International Berlin Film Festival and the Founders Award for Best Narrative Feature screened at the 8th Tribeca Film Festival in the US.
