L'Alternativa Film Festival kicked off in Barcelona on November 13 and will end on November 21.
Lavafipour's film has already taken the Golden Tiger award from the Rotterdam Film Festival in Holland and Asian Cinema New Talent Award from Shanghai International Film Festival.
The film is a story of four people living in a secluded island, whose fates are intertwined.
The Iranian movie along with seven other films from the US, Russia, Mexico and France has been picked to be showcased in the international feature film competition section.
