Iranian Minister Meets Iceland's President

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Minister of Industries and Mines Ali Akbar Mehrabian met with Icelandic President Olafur Grimsson in Vienna, Austria on Wednesday.



During the meeting held on the sidelines of the General Conference of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the two sides underlined expansion of Iran-Iceland energy cooperation.

Mehrabian Reminded the Islamic Republic of Iran's potentials in mineral and industrial fields and voiced Tehran's willingness to expand ties with Iceland in area of technical and engineering services.

The Iceland president voiced his country's readiness to share experiences with Iran in utilization of geothermal energy in various tourism, medical, and energy fields.

Iran's Ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Ali Asqar Soltaniyeh chairs the five-day biennial UNIDO General Conference which kicked off in Vienna on Monday.
