In the meeting with Hossein Khalil, political affairs deputy to Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, and Ali Hassan Khalil, the political aide of Nabih Berri, the leader of Amal Movement in Damascus, Jalili underlined that unity of the political wings and ethnic groups in Lebanon will serve as a suitable ground for continued political stability both in the country and the region.
Jalili also hailed stabilization of political conditions in Lebanon since formation of the government.
The sides in the meeting also discussed latest political conditions in Lebanon after formation of the national unity government there, the Islamic republic news agency reported.
Iran's Ambassador to Damascus Hojjatoleslam Ahmad Mousavi was present in the meeting.
Noting that Iran is ready for extensive cooperation with regional states, Jalili said the Zionist regime of Israel is cause of instability in the region.
Yet in a separate meeting with Leader of Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, Ramadhan Abdullah on Thursday, Jalili said occupation and aggression are main causes of instability and insecurity in the region and the choice of resistance will guarantee stability and progress in the region.
He said since resistance was formed on extensive public demand in the region, the victories it will gain in the region in the future will be eye-catching.
