Iran's Sahar Zamanian and Negin Amiripour won gold in the women's doubles finals after they defeated their rivals from the host country Bahrain on Saturday.
The two bronze medals were collected by Amiripour in the women's singles and Iran's Ali Shah-Hosseini and Mohammad-Reza Kheradmand who stood third in the men's doubles semifinals on the same day.
Top badminton players from India, Jordan, Iran, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Syria, Morocco, Philippines, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and host Bahrain are now competing for pride and prestige apart from a share of $5,000 prize money, press tv reported.
The Bahrain Air International Badminton Series 2009 was organized by the Indian Club in cooperation with the Bahrain Badminton and Squash Federation from December 2 to 6 in the capital Manama.
The event features competition in five categories - men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles.
