Europe Champions Win Iran in Volleyball World Cup

TEHRAN (FNA)- The European Champions, Poland, powered pass Iran in the World Grand Champions Cup men's volleyball tournament on Sunday.



Poland beat Iran 3-1 (23-25, 25-18, 26-28, 23-25) in their fourth game of the event on Sunday morning.

The competition opened in the Japanese cities of Osaka and Nagoya Wednesday.

The Iranian side had started the competition with a victory over African Champions, Egypt.

National teams from Brazil, Poland, Egypt, Cuba, Japan and Iran are present in the seven-day event.

The competitions will end on November 24.

The Iranian team, coached by Hossein Maddani, lost their second match against reigning champions Brazil on Thursday.

Iran are scheduled to play Cuba in their fifth and last match of the event on Monday.
