Sudan Supports Iran's N. Rights

TEHRAN (FNA)- Sudanese Foreign Minister Deng Alor announced that his country backs Iran's right to peaceful nuclear energy.

"Our fundamental stance is to back Iran's nuclear issue and we always stand by Iran," Alor said in a meeting with Iranian counterpart Manouchehr Mottaki in Khartoum.

He also called for Tehran's help for national reconciliation and settlement of problems in Sudan.

During the meeting, Mottaki called for boosting cooperation between the two countries.

Mottaki also met Sudanese Parliament Speaker Ahmad Ibrahim al-Tahir where he expressed the hope that the African country's upcoming parliamentary election will be held successfully.

The two sides also condemned the West's double standards on human rights which seek political goals.

Mottaki in another meeting held talks with Sudanese President Advisor Mustafa Othman Ismail.

Iran's Foreign Minister left for Djibouti on Friday after concluding his trip in Sudan.

He arrived in Sudan on Wednesday following an official visit from officials of the country.

Mottaki leading a delegation is to step in Bahrain on Saturday for 6th Manama Dialogue security conference to be held for two days.
