"Iran and Syria are faced with common challenges, therefore, their governments shoulder common responsibilities in that regard," al-Otari said in a meeting with Iranian Minister of Energy Majid Namjoo.
He pointed out that the visits by the two countries' officials would lead to further promotion of bilateral relations, and expressed the hope that new horizons would be opened in the mutual cooperation between Tehran and Damascus.
Al-Otari also reiterated that the enmity and anger of certain countries had no effects on the good ties between Iran and Syria.
During the meeting, Namjoo referred to the promotion of ties between the two countries after the Islamic Revolution in Iran, adding that Tehran hopes the bilateral economic relations will develop as much as the diplomatic ties.
