Iran, Turkey Discuss Regional, Int'l Developments

TEHRAN (FNA)- Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Saeed Jalili discussed different issues of mutual interest and also the regional and international developments with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.



During the meeting, Jalili called for effective cooperation among regional nations to pave the way for confronting the world big powers.

Meanwhile, Erdogan called on the regional countries, Iran and Turkey in particular, to deepen cooperation in order to bring peace and tranquility to the region.

The Turkish premier said the Muslim nations should not keep silent regarding the anti-Muslims movements worldwide.

Jalili, who arrived in Ankara on Friday on an official visit, also met with Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu Friday evening.
