Hamburg Festival to Screen 4 Iranian Films

TEHRAN (FNA)- Four Iranian films are to be screened at the 17th edition of the Hamburg Film Festival, scheduled to unroll the red carpet later in the day on Thursday.

Documentary film-maker Shalizeh Arefpour will make her feature film debut by showcasing 'Heiran', while Bahman Qobadi will screen his latest movie 'No One Knows about Persian Cats'.

Other Iranian movies at the Hamburg festival include 'The Firm Land' which is a joint French, Iranian and Indian film production, in addition to another Franco-Iranian documentary film 'Tehran Without Permission', the Islamic republic news agency reported.

More than 140 films from 42 countries will be shown at the Hamburg festival due to run through October 3.

Iranian movies have won several German film festivals over the past years, among them the Berlin Film Festival, also known as the 'Berlinale'.
