Batumi Int'l Fest Awards Two Iranian Films

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian films 'One Day after the 10th Day' and 'Twenty' were prized in Batumi International Art-House Film Festival in Georgia on September 21-28.



The Iranian actor Parviz Parastoee won the award for the best actor in the Feature Films Section of the festival for acting in 'Twenty' by Abdul Reza Kahani.

Also in the festival's Young Filmmaker's Section, the documentary film 'One Day after the 10th Day' directed by Narges Abyar received the Grand Prize.

Thirty-five art works by young filmmakers were juried by Ukrainian Galyna Cherniak, British Kamila Kuc and the Iranian film-maker Ramtin Lavafi.

Elsewhere, Iranian director Manijeh Hekmat along with her counterparts from Britain, Georgia, Netherland and Ukraine gave their comments on 11 feature films.
