Iranian Basketball Team to Face Egypt, France, US in World Championship

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran's youth basketball squad is due to face Egypt, France and the US in Group B of the Under-19 World Championship in New Zealand on July 2-12.

The team which is placed in Group B left for New Zealand on Saturday.

The 2009 Federation of International Basketball Associations (FIBA) U19 World Championship involves 16 national teams of athletes who are 19 years old or younger.

Group A includes Angola, Greece, Lithuania and Puerto Rico; Group C consists of Australia, Canada, Spain and Syria and Group D is comprised of Argentina, Croatia, Kazakhstan and New Zealand.
