Ahmadinejad: Iran, Oman Enjoy Interrelated Relations

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a meeting with visiting Omani Foreign Minister Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdallah stressed that the two countries enjoy interrelated relations based on their common views on different regional and international issues.

"The two countries share common and close views on different issues and both states are seeking to promote their bilateral ties to the highest levels," Ahmadinejad said.

Noting that Iran has no limitation on the expansion of its relations with Oman, he added, "The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to boost its relations and cooperation with Oman in all fields."

Ahmadinejad also referred to the enemies' plots to stage wars in different countries of the region, including Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine, Pakistan and Yemen, and called on all regional countries to keep united and cooperate to resolve the problems of the region.

Bin Allawi, for his part, laid emphasis on the further expansion of bilateral ties between Tehran and Masqat, and said Iran plays a strategic role in the economy of the region.

Iran can stand as a bridge between the Central Asian countries and the Persian Gulf, he added.
