Iran Ends Wargames

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Armed Forces on Thursday wrapped up five-day military drills, codenamed as 'Modafean-e Aseman-e-Velayat 2 (Sky Defenders 2)'.

The message of the maneuver to Iran's neighbors and friends was peace, but it also showed that Iranian armed forces are fully ready to encounter any possible threat, the Iranian students news agency reported.

The drill covered some 600,000 square kilometers, spreading across the central, western and southern parts of the country and it was accomplished in three stages.

Iran's Army, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and Basij members took part in the maneuver.
