Minister Downplays Effectiveness of Sanctions against Iran

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran's Economy Minister Seyed Shamseddin Hosseini reiterated that sanctions and pressures against Iran have no effect on the country's will to attain its goals of progress and development.



Hosseini made the remarks in China where he is due to attend the annual Conference of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA).

Although many world countries faced severe problems as a result of the global economic crisis last year, the Islamic Republic of Iran enjoyed good economic condition, Hosseini told the Islamic republic news agency.

Referring to BFA Conference in Boao, Hosseini reiterated that the Asian countries are capable of playing leading roles in the world economy.

Asked about Iran-China economic ties, the minister said it would benefit both countries as well as the whole Asian continent.
