Leader Urges Cultural Envoys to Display Iran's Realities to World

TEHRAN (FNA)- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei called on all Iranian cultural officials to strive to introduce the realities of Iran to the world and foreign countries' officials.

"Presenting a correct and real image of the Islamic Republic and the realities and progresses of the today Iran along with the promotion of the Persian Language and literature are among the heavy responsibilities of the Islamic Republic's cultural envoys," Ayatollah Khamenei said on Tuesday.

He made the remarks, addressing a number of Iranian cultural officials and the country's cultural attachés to the foreign countries, adding certain foreign countries attempt to show an unreal face of the Islamic Republic on the international scene.

They attempt to present an impaired face of the Islamic Republic to make the world people pessimistic about the Islamic establishment, Ayatollah Khamenei said.

Iranian officials in recent months mounted their warnings to Iranian people to keep more vigilant against the enemies' plots which aim to create a rift between the government and people through cultural campaign and soft war against Iran.

Earlier in November, Ayatollah Khamenei had underlined the necessity for proper measures to repel enemy's soft war against Iran.

"Today, the main priority of the country is to confront (enemy's) soft warfare which is aimed at creating doubt, discord and pessimism among the masses of the people," Ayatollah Khamenei said, addressing a large and fervent congregation of Basij (volunteer) forces.
