Qotbi Asks Arsenal to Send Coach to Iran

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran's national football team manager Afshin Qotbi said that he has asked officials of England's Arsenal club to send one of their best coaches to Iran to analyze the country's football teams in different groups.

"I asked Arsenal officials to send one of their best coaches to Iran to examine and analyze the soccer teams in different age groups to increase cooperation between the two countries' soccer associations," Qotbi reiterated on Tuesday.

He also explained about his meeting with Arsenal officials and the club's boss Arsene Wenger, while watching the team's training sessions.

During his trip to England, Qotbi also met Manchester City clubs' officials, which according to him, enjoys superior technical resources.

He described his international trips as beneficial to Iran's soccer, noting, "It will serve to develop our football perspectives to take Iran's football to the top of the international charts."

The Iranian boss announced that his team will play a friendly match against Bahrain in Manama on August 31 and another preparatory match against Uzbekistan on September 5.
