Begin the 2011 winter season by spending five days in the Miami, Florida area, which has become a major phenomenon in today’s art scene. The world-renowned Art Deco area of South Miami Beach will be our headquarters for exploring the art and architecture of days gone by as well as recent modern trends. A full day will be spent exploring the many attractions in West Palm Beach. During the five-day visit, there will be opportunities to enjoy diverse art media, grand hotels, and world-class cuisine.

This tour offers the opportunity to see artists' spaces, to understand what synergies are created, and to appreciate how such arrangements energize and inspire the artist.

An Odyssey of Rugs and Textiles

No need to travel far distances to view the best sampling of rugs and textiles! Our local tour, An Odyssey of Rugs and Textiles, will enhance your knowledge of modern, traditional, kilim, soumak, and antique rugs. Examples will be shown from Nepal, Turkey, Iran, and central Asia. Village and nomadic rugs using natural dyes and weaving techniques such as hand knotted or loomed will be a feast to the eye.
