Gentry Magazine returned this year with a special edition featuring an article on the Cantor Arts Center and Rodin by Moonlight.

The Rodin by Moonlight committee presented a splendid event enjoyed by some 300 guests.  The evening began with a cocktail reception, hosted by Neiman Marcus, followed by a dining experience created exclusively for Rodin by Moonlight by guest chef Charles Phan of The Slanted Door, working with Paula Le Duc Fine Catering. Following dinner, guests danced the night away to the eclectic sounds of Big City Review.

The 2009 Rodin by Moonlight Event Committee included Melissa Badger, Stefanie Lingle Beasley, Paula Carano, Charlene Cogan, Julie Terrell Hooper, Jacque Jarve, Michele Kirsch, Sandy Levison, Michele Mandell, Lisa Mooring, and Wendy Rohn.

The first Rodin by Moonlight event took place in 1987 to raise funds to place lights in the Rodin Sculpture Garden at the Stanford Museum.  Upon re-opening in 1999, following nearly 10 years of closure due to the 1989 earthquake, the museum revived Rodin by Moonlight. Since then, this signature event has raised close to one million dollars to support the Center’s exhibitions and educational outreach to the community.

The next Rodin by Moonlight will take place on October 1, 2011.  For more information, visit this page during summer 2011, or email
