Romanian Fest Awards Iranian Film

TEHRAN (FNA)- The 10th edition of Alternative Film Festival in Romania awarded Iranian director Taha Karimi's short film ' Oil, the Cancer of Our City' in the document section.



The Romanian festival hosted 618 films from 50 countries on sections of feature films, short films and students films.

The twenty-minute 'Oil, Cancer of Our City' competed with other 53 films to claim the award.

Also 'A Day Full of Pain' by Sattar Golchamani and 'Whistling Underwater' by Houshamand Varaei were among other Iranian films which took part in the event.

'Oil, Cancer of Our City' shot in the Iraqi city of Kirkuk focuses on the issue of oil and its problems in the oil-rich city. It was premiered in Algeria Film Festival in Qatar.
