Spokesman: US, Israel Worried about Regional Uprisings
TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehman-Parast described the US and Israel as the biggest losers of revolutions and uprisings in the region, and said they are seriously concerned about the current developments in the Middle-East.
"When a given country cuts the roots of its dependence on the West though cooperation with its people and move towards independence, it means that the national interests of that country set a priority and the interests of the Americans and Israelis are no more its foreign policy priority," Mehman-Parast told FNA on Sunday.
"The conditions in the region have created serious concerns in the US and Israel," he added.
A large number of Iranian and regional officials had warned that the US and the Zionist regime of Israel have hatched plots to create a rift among the regional nations.
Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has also repeatedly called on the worldwide Muslims to enhance unity and solidarity to defuse enemy plots.
In a last case, Ayatollah Khamenei said during an address to a group of Iranian officials, ambassadors of Muslim states and Iranian people in September that Muslim nations should get closer to each other day by day and move in line with unity because that's the sole way of campaign against enemies of Islam.
The Leader said Muslim nations should be united in all issues relating to the Islamic World.
The Supreme Leader further said it would be wrong to believe enemies of Islam are friends to a group of Muslims and hostile to certain others because they oppose Islam in principle because the religion in core wants resistance against the bullying powers
