Chairperson's Profile

 

 

Functions:

 

The Southern Sudan High Elections Committee is tasked with the supervision of the election of the President of the Government of Southern Sudan as well as the election of Southern Sudan Legislative Assembly members. The committee is also responsible for coordination between the State High Committees in Southern Sudan and National Elections Commission (NEC).


The high committees at state levels are responsible for organizing and conducting the elections in their states in accordance with the decisions and directives if the NEC.
 

 

Structure:

 

The SSHC is led by the chairperson assisted by:

 

  1. Mr Anthony Ariki Lowly - Deputy Chairman; also in charge of administration, finance, logistics and supervision of support staff;
  2. Mr Mac Maika Deng - Coordinator, Donors and Media;
  3. Mrs Jersa Kide Barsaba Amin - Coordinator, State Committees;
  4. Dr Jabi Jack Ngalamu - Coordinator, Training and Civic Education
  5. Mr Ananias Modi Lolik - Chief Elections Officer

 

Projects and Programs: 

 

 The 2010 elections programme which began in June 2009 and continues up to the polling day beginning 11th April 2010; and the determination of the results for executive and legislative positions.
