TEHRAN (FNA)- The Fajr International Film Festival announced the names of five artists who will set up the documentary selection committee of the festival this year.
According to the festival officials, five Iranian cineastes would form the documentary selection committee of the 30th Fajr International Film Festival for the "Documentary Cinema Competition" section.
All the five members of the committee are well-known documentary directors; the acclaimed Vahid Mousaian who has turned to fiction films in recent years and Mohammad Ali Farsi, who is famous for his documentaries about Iraqi imposed war on Iran are world-known documentary filmmakers.
Reza Dorostkar is another member of the committee who before making documentaries made a name for himself as a movie critic.
Mohammad Sadri and Hossein Khorshidi are the other two members of the committee who have made numerous documentary films for Iranian television.
The committee will select a number of feature documentaries for "Cinema Verite Competition" (competition of feature documentaries) out of the 93 documentaries sent to the secretariat of the 30th FIFF.
On the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of Islamic Revolution, 30th International Fajr Film Festival will be held from February 1st to 11th 2012 in Tehran and some other Iranian provinces.
