The lawmakers described the Fajr film festival as the most important and influential annual cinematic event in Iran, and said that the festival has always shown prosperous perspectives for Iranian cinema and filmmakers.
The members of the parliament pointed out that FIFF is not only a cinematic, but also a social and cultural event, and emphasized that the 30th FIFF differs from its previous editions due to the new attitudes in the festival.
By holding FIFF in Tehran and also in other provinces of the country, people who live in small towns will find the opportunity to watch the newly produced movies and consequently the festival will attain its cultural goals, they said.
The 30th International Fajr Film Festival will be held from February 1st to 11th 2012 in Tehran and some other Iranian provinces on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of Islamic Revolution.
