Salehi, Westerwelle Discuss Iran's N. Issue over Phone

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi and his German counterpart Guido Westerwelle discussed the latest developments in the talks between Tehran and the six world powers during a phone talks on Friday.



Salehi and Westerwelle reiterated the need for Iran and the Group 5+1 (the five permanent UN Security Council members plus Germany) to continue their negotiations.

Also during the phone conversation, the Iranian and Germany top diplomats expressed the hope that the forthcoming expert- level meeting in Turkey would prepare the ground for higher level talks between Tehran and the six world powers.

Iran and the sextet held two days of intensive talks in Russia's capital of Moscow on June 18-19. The two sides agreed to meet again in Early July at the level of experts.
