Iranian Consul General to Lahore, Punjab Chief Minister Discuss Bilateral Ties

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Consul General to Lahore Mohammad Hossein Bani Asadi met with Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in Lahore, Pakistan.



During the meeting, Shahbaz said that progress and prosperity can be achieved by sitting together and removing mutual differences.

He went on to say that by promoting economic and commercial ties between Punjab government and Iran, bilateral relations can be further strengthened.

Given one of jointly implemented projects by Iranian companies and local government in Punjab, Shahbaz said that Punjab government is to boost cooperation with Iranian companies.

He said that a delegation of Punjabi investors and businessmen would participate in an exhibition to be held in Mashhad in November.

In the meantime, Shahbaz congratulated Iranian leadership for holding Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Summit in Tehran.

Asadi, for his part, emphasized expansion of mutual relations and invited Shahbaz to visit Iran in near future.
