TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian and Russian officials in a meeting in Moscow conferred on ways to further develop sports relations and cooperation between the two neighboring countries.
The meeting was held between Chancellor of Russian State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism Alexander Belyayev and Iranian Sports and Youth Affaris Minister Mohammad Abbasi.
During the meeting, Abbasi said that Russia has good experience in educating sports champions and there are also numerous areas of cooperation between the university and Iran's Sports and Youth Affairs Ministry.
Iran, too, has made good achievements in the fields of educating champions and sharing the experience will benefit both countries, he said.
Abbasi, who is in Moscow to attend the World's Sports Ministers Summit, visited the university's various sections.
Belyayev, for his part, appreciated Abbasi's presence in the university, and said that the university with a history of 100 years is considered the most important university in Europe wherein Iranian students are studying.
He expressed the hope that educational and research exchanges and cooperation between Iranian and Russian teams will be expanded.
