Iran to Set Up Nuclear Emergency Medical Unit in Isfahan

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran plans to establish a medical unit in the Central province of Isfahan to provide medical needs for nuclear emergencies.

"The first nuclear emergency unit will launch operation in Isfahan in the near future," Acting Deputy Head of the Medical Emergency and Incidents Center of Isfahan Hamid Esmayeeli told reporters on Tuesday.

"Construction of the medical unit is a final stage," he added.

He said that the nuclear industry is one of the key industries in the province, and stated, "Isfahan should be fully prepared to respond to (nuclear) events."

Natanz uranium enrichment facility (UCF) is among Iran's key nuclear centers located in Isfahan province.
