Iran Urges Independent States to Help Settle Regional, Int'l Problems

TEHRAN (FNA)- All independent states should unite and adopt effective measures to settle the problems and crises in the world and the region, a senior Iranian foreign ministry official said on Thursday.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehman-Parast made the remarks on Thursday, stressing that the Islamic Republic of Iran expects the independent nations to prevent warmongering.

Addressing the Tenth Conference of Eurasian Media Forum (EAMF) underway in the Kazakh capital, he said the independent nations bear heavy responsibility for bringing peace and security to the globe.

He added this goal will be achieved through cooperation among the independent nations.

Mehman-Parast urged the independent nations to take every single opportunity, including this Media Forum, to mobilize efforts for helping resolve the global and regional crises.

The Tenth Conference of EAMF kicked off in the Kazakh capital city Astana Thursday morning.
