Iran-Lebanon Trade Seminar Slated for Nov. 13-14 in Tehran
TEHRAN (FNA)- A seminar titled Introducing Iran-Lebanon Trade, Economic and Investment Opportunities will be held on November 13-14 in Tehran.
Tehran's Ambassador to Beirut Qazanfar Roknabadi in a meeting with Chairman of the Lebanese Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture Mohammed Shakir invited him to attend the upcoming seminar on trade and investment opportunities of Iran and Lebanon.
Over 500 Iranian businessmen along with more than 50 traders and officials from Lebanon's private sector will attend the meeting.
Roknabadi and Shakir also agreed on the visit of a trade delegation from Iran's Khuzestan province to Lebanon on October 20-30. The delegation will hold talks with members of Lebanon's Chamber of Commerce.
Shakir reiterated all-out cooperation of Lebanon's Chambers of Commerce for holding the joint Iran-Lebanon Trade and Economic Seminar in Tehran.
Iran and Lebanon enjoy cordial relations and have further expanded these ties in recent years.
The two sides have exchanged several delegations of high-ranking officials in the last three years.
Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad paid a landmark visit to Beirut in October 2010. The two countries signed a cluster of economic agreements during President Ahmadinejad's visit.
