Taliban Insurgents Attack NATO Logistic Convoy, Kill Security Contractor's Commander

TEHRAN (FNA)- Taliban militias attacked the NATO logistic convoy in Bakwa district, in the Western Afghan province of Farah, killing the commander of a private security contractor.

"During the attack which came last night (Saturday night) Soufi Jabbar, commander of Abdulwahab private security contracting company was killed," an Afghan security official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, told Afghanistan's Jomhor News Agency.

The Afghan official said Taliban militias also torched a foreign oil tanker in Bakwa district on Sunday morning.

The Taliban insurgents fighting the Afghan government have frequently attacked NATO logistic convoys, torched oil tankers and killed people.
