Iran's Karatekas Top Int'l Competitions at Home

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran's Kyokushin Team clinched the championship title of the International Kyokushin Championship in the country's Northwestern city of Orumiyeh on Saturday.

Japanese and Romanian karatekas ranked second and third, respectively.

Some 27 athletes from Iran, Romania, Japan, Poland, Russia and Ukraine took part in the day-long event opened in the provincial capital city of the West Azarbaijan on Saturday morning.

The contest was held in three categories of -70 kg, - 80 kg and + 80 kg.

Captured 17 times between February 13, 2012 and June 13, 2013
