TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a letter to Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei thanked the Leader for his guidelines, and reiterated his administration's determination to serve the Iranian nation.

"The government welcomes the timely guidelines (by the Leader), and as before will do its best to serve the nation," Ahmadinejad said in his letter on Thursday.

He added that his administration insists on the principles and values of the Islamic Revolution and safeguarding the basic rights of the nation.

The president noted that due to heavy responsibilities, the government will not welcome domestic differences and as before and also for the sake of the country, it will tolerate all hardships.

"Your highness has for several times reiterated that everyone should act in a way as to have a vibrant election and with the maximum voter turnout. The presidential election is the manifestation of national will and symbol of popular sovereignty and the highest show of democracy in the country," the letter added.
