Iran to Showcase Industrial, Cultural Products in Brazil Expo
TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran will take part in an exhibition in Brazil next week to present the country's latest industrial goods, cultural products and artworks.
"A 100-meter stall at the international Rio de Janeiro exhibition has been allocated by the Iran-Brazil Friendship Association for presenting Iranian goods from December 5-10," Chairman of Iran-Brazil Friendship Association Mir Qassem Momeni told FNA on Saturday.
"This move is aimed at presenting Iranian merchandise and familiarize the Brazilian people with Iranian and Islamic culture," he added.
He further added that the friendship association has set up a workgroup to encourage specialized companies and relevant organizations to create an appropriate market in Brazil for Iranian handicrafts, artworks, cultural products and nuts.
Iran has in recent years expanded friendly ties with Latin America, specially in economic, trade and industrial fields.
Since taking office in 2005, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has expanded Iran's cooperation with many Latin American states, including Venezuela, Bolivia, Ecuador and Cuba.
Iran's strong and rapidly growing ties with Latin America have raised eyebrows in the US and its western allies since Tehran and Latin nations have forged an alliance against the imperialist and colonialist powers and are striving hard to reinvigorate their relations with the other independent countries which pursue a line of policy independent from the US.
