ISAF Plane Crashes in South Afghanistan

TEHRAN (FNA)- An ISAF plane crashed early Wednesday in the Godar Barana area of the Nava district, in South Afghanistan's Helmend province.

According to ISAF, the plane could have been an unmanned aerial vehicle, Voice of Russia reported.

A spokesperson with the International Security Assistance Force said he was waiting for the results of the rescue operation to announce the type of the plane and the cause of its crash.

The Taliban have confirmed the crash of an unidentified plane in the region controlled by their troops.
