Egypt's Coptic Bishop Hails Iran's Respect for All Religious Minorities

TEHRAN (FNA)- Egypt's Coptic Orthodox Church Bishop Tawadros lauded the Islamic Republic's respect and support for the rights of all religious minorities living in Iran.



Tawadros made the remarks in a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi in Cairo on Thursday.

Suring the meeting, Salehi stressed coexistence of Muslims and Christians in various communities on Thursday.

Congratulating the anniversary birth day of Jesus Christ, Salehi invited Egypt's Coptic Orthodox Church Bishop for an official visit to Tehran.

Egypt's Coptic Orthodox Church Bishop asserted that coexistence of various religious sectarians, including Muslims, Christians, Jews and Zoroastrians in Iran is historical.

Bishop Tawadros welcomed Salehi invitation for visiting Tehran.
