Iranian FM Spokesman: Qatari PM Due in Tehran in Coming Days

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehman-Parast announced that Qatari Prime Minister Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber al-Thani will pay a visit to Iran in the next few days.



"The Qatari prime minister is slated to travel to Iran in the coming days," the Iranian diplomat said.

Mehman-Parast noted that the Hamad bin Jassim's visit to Tehran takes place at the invitation of Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi.

Iran and Qatar have recently augmented efforts to further expand ties and cooperation in all the different political, economic, defense and security fields.

The two Persian Gulf littoral states recently signed several protocols to increase mutual cooperation, specially in different areas of security.
