President Ahmadinejad to Unveil Iran's Most Advanced Drone Tomorrow

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran plans to display its most advanced Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) designed and manufactured by the country's engineers in a ceremony on Thursday.

The drone, named Hemaseh (Epic), will be unveiled in a special ceremony due to be held in the presence of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi in Tehran tomorrow.

The ceremony will be held on the sidelines of a conference to commemorate the defense ministry's martyrs.

Hemaseh is a reconnaissance and combat UAV which has been produced by local experts at the country's defense industries organization.

Earlier, Deputy Defense Minister for Industrial and Research Affairs Mohammad Eslami had told reporters that Hemaseh enjoys higher capabilities compared with other Iran-made UAVs and can fly at higher altitudes and enjoys longer flight endurance.

Iran has recently made giant advancements in aerospace industries, specially in designing and manufacturing pilotless drones.
