"This company (NIDC) is now capable of competing with foreign companies in the field of drilling operations and providing technical and engineering services," Golpayegani said on Sunday.
The Iranian official noted that the NIDC operates over 70 drilling rigs and is able to provide full range of technical and engineering services as a leading company in the region.
Golpayegani said that his company has already held talks with Iraq's oil sector in this regard.
The NIDC is a subsidiary of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) in the upstream sector headquartered in the city of Ahwaz.
Earlier this month, Tehran hosted the 18th International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition.
The show, which was one of the largest oil industry events in the Middle East, carried the message of "Manifestation of Economic Epic in the Iranian Petroleum Industry's Self-Sufficiency Campaign".
The presence of 1,100 Iranian and foreign companies on 42,000 square meters of land in this exhibition indicated that the enemies have failed in their objectives to isolate the Islamic Iran.
